Tint should solve something

A Darker Window Is Not Automatically a Better Window.

Cheap-looking film, mismatched shades and poor edge work can make an otherwise clean vehicle feel unfinished. The right installation starts by deciding what matters most inside your cabin.

01

Cabin Heat

If heat control is the main goal, film technology matters more than simply choosing the darkest shade available.

02

Glare and Daily Comfort

Shade choice can affect daytime glare, night visibility and how comfortable the vehicle feels during regular Chicago driving.

03

Factory-Matched Appearance

Front-window matching requires measuring the rear privacy glass instead of guessing from a percentage printed on a film box.

Choose the technology first

Carbon, Ceramic IR or Premium Ceramic?

The best film is the one that matches the result you care about—not simply the most expensive option on the wall.

Value

Carbon Film

A clean, nonmetallic option for drivers focused on appearance, privacy and straightforward value.

The highest-performance option offered for customers prioritizing cabin comfort and premium film technology.

  • Maximum available heat-control tier
  • Designed for demanding sun exposure
  • Premium full-car option
  • Best for customers keeping the vehicle long-term

Existing-film removal, difficult access, extra quarter windows, unusually large glass, damaged defroster lines or specialty vehicles can affect the final quote. Those conditions are identified before installation. Film warranty length and coverage depend on the selected manufacturer and product line; the applicable terms should be documented on the final invoice.

Understand the shade number

Lower Percentage Means Darker Film.

The shade percentage refers to visible light transmission. A lower number allows less visible light through. Film shade alone does not tell you the heat-rejection performance—that depends on the specific product technology.

The finish comes from the process

Five Steps Between Film and Glass.

A good installation is not measured only by how the car looks before it leaves the bay.

01

Inspect

Review the vehicle, existing film, glass condition, electronics and defroster concerns.

02

Measure

Measure existing glass and discuss the desired appearance, comfort and finished configuration.

03

Prepare

Clean the glass and surrounding work area before film handling and placement.

04

Install

Use computer-cut patterns and controlled application to reduce unnecessary cutting on the vehicle.

05

Inspect

Check edges, seals and visible finish, then explain curing and aftercare requirements.

Straight answers

Chicago Window Tint FAQ

Is ceramic tint always darker than carbon tint?

No. Film technology and shade are separate choices. A ceramic film can be selected in a lighter shade while still offering stronger heat-management performance than a darker entry-level film, depending on the specific product.

How long does window tint installation take?

Timing depends on the vehicle, number and shape of windows, existing-film removal and glass condition. The expected completion window is confirmed when the vehicle and scope are reviewed.

Are small bubbles or haze normal after installation?

Some temporary moisture pockets or light haze can be part of the curing process. Cure time varies with film, temperature and humidity. Do not press or pick at the film; follow the aftercare instructions provided at delivery.

When can I roll the windows down?

Wait for the period specified by the technician at delivery. The correct wait time depends on the film system and current weather conditions.

Does every film include a lifetime warranty?

No blanket warranty should be assumed. Warranty duration, transferability, exclusions and claim procedures depend on the manufacturer and film line selected. Applicable terms should be documented on the invoice.

Can you remove old bubbling or purple tint?

Yes, existing-film removal can be evaluated and quoted. Removal difficulty varies, and special care may be required around rear-window defroster lines or damaged glass.
